Message From The Pastor
Something New
Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old. Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert. ~ Isaiah 43:18-19 (BSB)
Every year I seek God for a theme for the new year. This theme helps me in selecting the passages and themes that I will preach on. 2024 was the year of reconciliation. This year’s theme will be the Year of Something New. I will be emphasizing that it is never too late to get on the same page as Jesus Christ regarding what His will is for us. His perfect will and His permissive will is not always the same. This is why The Lord’s Prayer includes the line, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. Praying and seeking His perfect will here on earth will be my main emphasis during the year of 2025.
It is starting out very different than in the near past. For many years now, I have not been excited about heading into the new year. This year something special seems to be on the horizon. I have no idea what God is planning on doing, but there is a growing positivity in me that it will be fantastic. The recent past years have seemed to me that I was in wilderness, a desert so to speak. I believe that this passage that is listed above is prophetic in the sense that God is about to bring streams of refreshing water to my desert. Do you feel it? Join me in joyful expectations of something new. This includes putting away past disappointments and seeing the Lord’s perfect will, right here, right now.
In Christ, Pastor Ken

Right now we have one Sunday school class. Pastor Ken teaches it. They go through books of the Bible verse by verse. It is an informal setting with more discussion instead of a lecture.
Gather @ the Fire is when we have an informal time around the firepit on the east side of the church. There is usually s’more fixings and hot dogs or something to cook over the fire. There are activities for the kids like our 3 hole disc golf course. It is just a time of connecting and getting to know each other better.
High School Youth Gathering meets weekly on Wednesday at 7p. This is a time of connection by playing games and having a short Bible study.
Leadership Class is the next level after going through Connection Class and joining the church. It is a time of learning your strengths and weaknesses and how to use your gifts in the church.
Worship Team Music Practice to get ready for Sunday morning. We have 3 different worship teams at this point.
“The Telling Room” is a small group to build up and encourage women! The Telling Room meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
We discuss the 3 P’s: Praise, Progress, Prayer. Everyone brings their praises, the areas where God is currently bringing progress in their lives, and they pray their prayer requests. Also, individuals take turns to channel discussion among the 3 P’s.
This group is a place where women can build strong life-affirming relationships with other women. Can you use a staunch friend that has your back? If so, join us on June 13th at 5:30 pm. When it is so nice outside, bring a lawn chair and we will meet outside.
